Jorge Diaz-Rullo Gets Second Ascent of a Spanish V15

On September 9, Jorge Diaz-Rullo sent Trio con Charlotte V15 (8C) in La Pedriza, Spain. Established by Pablo Zamora in March, the boulder is steep and crimpy, with a technical downclimb leading into some foot jams before the finale. Known more for his sport climbing, Trio con Charlotte is Diaz-Rullo’s eighth V15. He also has one V16 to his name.

“It feels so good to be back on rock after two months of training,” said Diaz-Rullo on Instagram. “And what better way to return to the crag and shake off the cobwebs from your send notebook. Second ascent after my friend [Pablo Zamora]. Psyche is sky-high!”

Diaz-Rullo has had a solid year. He spent months working his mega-project Cafe Colombia – a likely 5.15d – getting very close to a send. Highlights from 2025 include a successful season in Briançon where he sent La prophétie des grenouilles 5.14d, Don Caméléon 5.14c, The Famous Gem 5.14d, and Pastis 5.14c. In 2024, he sent Adam Ondra’s Change 5.15b/c and Move 5.15b/c in Flatanger, as well as Chris Sharma’s Sleeping Lion 5.15b in Siurana and Stoking the Fire 5.15b in Santa Linya. He also topped his first V16 that year, Muerte por Asfixia in La Pedriza.
