Crag Cleanup Day at Canmore’s Echo Canyon
The Bow Valley Climbers Access Society (BVCAS) has organised a crag clean-up day at Echo Canyon on Grotto Mountain above the town of Canmore in the Canadian Rockies. Events like this help to ensure climbers have access to canyons and walls around such mountain towns.
The BVCAS said, “Join us for a fun-filled day of climbing at Echo! Help keep our crag pristine by picking up any trash you may spot, then kick back with us for a delicious $5 burger at the Alpine Club of Canada clubhouse at 6 p.m.”
Even is you’re not heading up to the crag, the group said, “Come hang for a social gathering on the deck, everyone’s welcome. Cold drinks will be available for purchase.” RSVP on Facebook here or Instagram below to let them know you’re joining.
The BVCAS added that if you’re “leaving your buckets at the crags, please label them with your name, date and phone number.” Be sure to follow the group on social media for future updates.
