Buster Martin Sends The Full Journey 5.15b in Spain
Buster Martin has repeated The Full Journey 5.15b in Margalef, Spain, after a big effort on one of the area’s most difficult endurance test-pieces. According to 8a.nu, Martin, who now has at least five 5.15 sends to his name, climbed the opening 5.15a section over a dozen times before finally linking the entire line.
Located in the steep Racó de la Finestra sector, The Full Journey climbs the right-hand side of the massive Finestra overhang. It begins with The Journey 5.15a, a fierce opening pitch of roughly 30 moves on monos and sharp two-finger pockets with almost no meaningful recovery positions. After a good rest, it leads to another crux sequence before the final pumpy moves.
The Journey was originally bolted by Tom Bolger, and later extended by Alex Megos into the full 5.15b version. Since then, the route has seen repeats from Jorge Díaz-Rullo in 2023, Stefano Ghisolfi in 2025, and Enrique Beltrán Blasco in March of this year.
Martin’s other 5.15 sends include First Ley, Supercrackinette, La Furia de Jabali and The Journey. Earlier this season, Díaz-Rullo made the first ascent of Café Colombia 5.15d, another cutting-edge line in the same sector that continues to push the standard of hard climbing in Margalef.
